| Welcome To the artistic original works of folk art by KAREN PARTELOW Karen Partelow is a self-taught Folk Artist, who paints on junk roofing tin and found objects.Minor clips and dents from being run over by a truck before Partelow found it, (see photo)but after all it is scrap metal.She paints on found often crinkled roofing tin as well as small furniture and picture frames. Her works are naive representations of the world she knows. This gallery is dedicated to some fine examples of her colorful and comic children. She paints remembered family,friends and small crossroad neighbors in the Catskill Mts.and North Carolina.Her work was a great hit at Folk Fest 1998, 1999 & 2000 . |
